My Diaryland and Erica.. 1:24 a.m. 06.15.2002
Erica called me tonight while I was teeing off the front nine of that addictive golden Tees golf game and mentioned she read for over an hour and a half today. Initially I didnt think anything of it and responded Oh yeah? What did you read?, of course.. Yes, she read my diary.

I immediately started sweating and turned (Im sure) a nice shade of red, as well as shanking my subsequent golf swings.

I know people read this dairy. Apparently quite a few people according to my daily hits. But when people point this out to me or, I found out someone new has delved into my supercilious sacrifice, it still blusters me. Especially when they are inspired and so damn complimentary about it, and come from someone whom I respect, like Erica.

After we talked I started thinking about the reasoning behind the diary. Actually, not so much the reasoning but the reward aspect of it. Which also led to how my thinking has changed since I started this diary. I view things in words. Its similar when I first discovered my passion for photography. I saw pictures everywhere I looked. I saw angles, shadows, lighting, textures, colors, and basically every day things in a whole new way. Everything was a photographic possibility given the proper circumstances.

This diary has had the same affect, not with my physical perceptive world, but with my experiences. Everything is rated on interest factor, oddity, and overall value Is this thought or experience worth writing down? Is it worth capturing? Or the even more popular one I need to remember this feeling, these thoughts, to this moment so I can share... Much like when I see that perfect photograph....

So all this leads me to my point. I want to thank everyone who has been with me and just joined in reading my diatribes. I want to show my appreciation in staying with me through the uninteresting and uncommon updates. And I especially want to thank Blaise for getting me involved in the whole online diary. In these few short months it has been a very rewarding experience for me. Thank you Blaise.

I hope everyone can take something, be it inspiration or entertainment, away from my past and future writing.
